It has launched a questionnaire on how the college would function and the powers it might have. Direct placement of students in the homes of service users can provide insights into personalisation funding, but is the experience broad enough? The next generation of social workers will need to be at ease with the changes in the role that will result from the increasing personalisation of services - a message that is starting to be taken on board by the institutions charged with training them. http://www.communitycare.co.uk/Articles/2009/08/27/112450/sheffield-hallam-university-pilots-student-placements-with-service.html Back to Top From the Press Help for Vulnerable Children and Families in RCT and Merthyr Tydfil Vulnerable children and families across Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil will soon receive more help and assistance thanks to a new innovative scheme built to strengthen support across Wales. The announcement made by the Welsh Assembly Government will see the creation of new multi-agency teams across the newly created consortium between the two Local Authorities.
